The release date for Cassandra Clare’s, City of Bones, is set for August 23, 2013, in exactly one year. The movie features Lily Collins as Clary and Jamie Campbell Bower as Jace.

In other news, I learned that Canadian rockers Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger are tying the knot. I was blown away by this when I learned of it just today because yesterday, while listening to a Nickelback song, I was just thinking about these two and how they are working on an album together. I thought: “Now there are two people who would make a really good couple.” I thought that because they have known each other for decades, are in the same business, and are both Canadian. Then, boom! I learned this morning that they are not only a couple, but are engaged and have been dating for six months while were working together. It surprised everyone. According to mtv.com:
Late Tuesday night, Avril Lavigne and Nickelback’s Chad Kroeger announced their engagement, shocking most — especially since no one knew they were even dating — and setting the groundwork for a Canadian super-union on par with Alpha Flight or the Edmonton Oilers of the 1980s.
The two met while working on songs for Lavigne’s upcoming album, and their pending nuptials are poised to be the biggest Canadian event since the 2010 Winter Olympics (or the last Our Lady Peace album).
Very sneaky, you two! But congratulations! I hope you live many happy years together! I will definitely be looking for Avril’s next album!
